During the weekend, border guards prevented two cases of transporting persons who illegally crossed the state border and detained two persons. On Saturday, June 14, in Pilda Parish, Ludza Municipality, on road P49, border guards in cooperation with Military Police officials, stopped a BMW 530D registered in Bulgaria, driven by a third-country national. While, on Sunday, June 15, in Pasiene Parish, Ludza Municipality, on road P52, border guards stopped a Ford Galaxy registered in Latvia, driven by a Latvian citizen.
